Hello all,
At Auburn University the use of cell phones is briefly mentioned in our fleet safety policy which can be found online at:
https://sites.auburn.edu/admin/universitypolicies/Policies/FleetSafetyPolicy.pdf
see page 6 –
9. Driver should not use a cellular phone, two-way radio, PDA, or any other hand-held device when vehicle is in motion.
Hope each of you are enjoying the summer months.
Warmest regards,
Chris

Subject: Cell Phone Use While Driving
Am interested in links to policies you might have for use of cell phones by agents while driving. Also, if your state has a person who works with extension on safety matters such as this, I’d like to pass their name to our safety officer.
Our state doesn’t have a law prohibiting general cell phone usage while driving, though there are laws addressing texting and emailing while driving. Thanks. -- Ann
