Robotics Team assembles for new season
The IEEE Robotics Team will have its kickoff meeting next at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27 in Min Kao Room 337. Existing team members and new recruits will discuss this year's
IEEE SouthEastCon robotics competition and their approach to it. Robotics is an incredibly interesting, fast-moving, and fun field to be involved in. Working on autonomous robots
exposes students to all aspects of mechatronics (sensing, imaging, embedded systems, specialized hardware, pattern recognition and classification, etc.) and allows team members to get valuable "hands-on" experiences. While the ideal team member is a junior
to senior-level student with some degree of experience and available free time, students of all interest levels and availabilities are encouraged to attend.
Contact team leader Greg Drewry for more information.
