This preconference workshop, part of the National Outreach Scholarship Conference (NOSC 2012), is designed for university staff and non-tenure-track faculty who, in roles distinct from tenure-track faculty,
facilitate and manage ongoing projects, programs, services research and relationships with community partners. These professionals span the boundaries between campus and community and have an emerging professional identity and a unique set of strengths and
challenges that will be addressed in this workshop.
Our theme this year is “Working Differently: New modes of outreach and engagement practice” with David Weerts, coauthor of research on outreach & engagement staff boundary-spanning roles, as our guest speaker.
Major topics include staff roles, power & identity; evaluation; and institutional transformation related to outreach & engagement practice. See the preconference
