Good afternoon Campus Communicators,
In an effort to better serve you and each of your colleges, departments, and units, please share the following information.
The Tax-Free Holiday is approaching. The Campus Technology Center will be open on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 9:00am-5:30pm. Items included in the Tax Free Holiday are computers and tablets under $1500 (including iPad, Samsung Galaxy,
ThinkPad tablet), and Backpacks or messenger bags under $100. Pre-orders are being accepted now. Pre-ordering gives us time to reserve you a computer or order one for you, if it’s not currently in stock.
Pre-orders will be accepted until 3pm on Thursday, August 2.
Payroll deduction is available to full-time permanent staff/faculty who have been with UT for at least 6 months (minimum 10% down payment required). It is HIGHLY RECOMMENED if you want to use payroll deduction that you PREORDER by noon
on Thursday.
PAYMENT: If you pay by check or cash, you do not need to come to the store on Friday. If you wish to use a credit card, you will have to come in store on Friday; but pre-ordering will allow us time to reserve you a computer and streamline
your payment time on Friday.
