Position Announcement

As Augusta State University’s Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Coordinator, Reese Library’s Government Information Librarian is responsible for the university’s compliance with FLDP standards, responding to mandated surveys, managing the physical collection, making digital collections accessible to all potential users by building points  of access through the library’s online catalog, via LibGuides, and through the library’s web portal at http://guides.aug.edu/govinfo. The Government Information Librarian also creates appropriate instructional resources for the students and faculty of the university.  As a member of the library faculty, the Government Information Librarian also has the following responsibilities: teaches library research classes to students in all colleges; provides personalized service to the faculty and students of the university as a member of a team of reference librarians; and offers specialized research assistance in the use of government resources. This librarian also serves as a department supervisor, is a member of the library leadership team, and is responsible for meeting the requirements outlined in the Library Faculty Role Model. An American Library Association (ALA)-accredited Master’s degree is required. Position provides benefits of the University System of Georgia.
