This camp should be a fun opportunity for youth to explore gardening topics at the UT Gardens facility and the surrounding outdoor environment. Mornings at the day camp will be filled with fun, hands-on learning activities covering a variety of captivating topics. Learning objectives for participants include: growing their own fruits & vegetables; identifying plants parts & their functions; identifying soil types; composting & identifying microfauna; composting using worms; turning plants into biofuel; making honey using honeybees; attracting pollinators & other beneficial insects to the garden; protecting their watershed, preventing erosion, and more! Camp info: * June 11-14, 9am to noon at the UT Gardens * Ages 6-12 * Registration deadline is June 4th * Cost is $35, or $25 for 4-H/UT Gardens members Spaces are filling up quickly, so help us get the word out to anyone you think might be interested!
