Qualifications: Masters in Library Science from ALA-Accredited program; working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, security, website management; background of civic involvement,
online search skills, teaching, and valid driver’s license.
Primary Job
Responsibilities: Plans, implements and coordinates public service programs for Decatur County and youth/children’s services and programs in the three counties of
the Southwest Georgia Regional Library System including collection development, public relations, web design and management, computer literacy, electronic communication, reference work and statistics. Plans and coordinates comprehensive public relations outreach
program for library system. The work requires considerable skill, initiative, independent judgment, professional ethics and follow through. Ability to exercise mature judgment and maintain confidentiality of administrative matters. Night and weekend work
is required.
