This Business Director is responsible for accelerating the revenue growth and profitability of The History Factory’s Archives Lab, the company’s archival and content management solutions.   Through effective business planning, client and market needs identification, solution positioning, and business development efforts this leader will expand The History Factory’s ability to serve current and future archival and content management needs of world leading corporations.   
 
The Business Director works closely with Company Leadership, the Director of Archival Services, and the Creative Solutions teams to drive revenue and client satisfaction that enable achievement of the company's overall strategy and goals.
 
The Business Director must possess a unique blend of business, marketing, and technical savvy to establish a big-picture vision, with an entrepreneurial drive to make that vision a reality. As a member of the Company’s Leadership Team, this individual must also have the proven ability to contribute across functional lines.
 
 
 
Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
 
    Work with Company Leadership, including the Director of Archival Services, to develop a core positioning and business plan for the company’s Archives Lab
    Define the market strategies and tactical roadmap for expanding the company’s archival services and content management solutions
    Develop marketing programs to communicate the Archives Lab expertise and differentiation to target prospects and clients
    Conduct market research and customer and non-customer visits to help define current and future products
    Promote the integration of the Company’s archives and access solutions with the Company’s creative solutions
    Implement solutions to capitalize on advancement in digital archives and the content access fields
    Create new cost model and set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
    Undertake business development to define needs, customize solutions, and secure contracts
    Propose and manage overall budget to ensure success
    Brief and train the sales force and develop solution launches to promote effective positioning  and sales
 
 
 
Capabilities/Experience:
 
    Minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Unit or Product Marketing Leader
    Demonstrated success building and implementing business and solution plans
    5+ years of experience in the field of information science and/or digital asset management, database and applications, and/or digital archives
    Ability to think strategically and execute operationally
    Proven ability to grow revenues and profits
    Proven leadership and professional management experience
    Ability to thrive in an aggressive, growth-oriented business
    Commitment to working cross-functionally and in teams
    Self-motivated, performance driven professional 
    Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills
    Committed to learning and development
    Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
    Excellent teamwork skills
    Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
