The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is an international public health agency with over 100 years of experience in working to improve health and living standards of the countries of the Americas. It serves as the specialized organization for health of the Inter-American System. It also serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization and enjoys international recognition as part of the United Nations system.
Specialist, Knowledge Management and Technology
PAHO/WHO is currently seeking a Specialist, Knowledge Management and Technology in the Planning, Budget and Resource Coordination Office (PBR), in Washington, DC, U.S.A., who will be responsible for coordinating PBR specific knowledge management needs and supporting Organization-wide institutional development-oriented knowledge management, communication, and information technology initiatives.
Minimum requirements for this post are:- A bachelor's degree in information sciences, information management, knowledge management, communications or related field from a recognized institution.
- Seven years of combined national and international experience working in the area of information systems and knowledge management and/or communication projects
- Very good knowledge of Spanish or English with a working knowledge of the other language.
The salary range for this position is US $56,091.00 - US $60,091.00, net of income taxes (plus post adjustment). PAHO/WHO offers an internationally competitive compensation package, including six weeks paid vacation, an excellent pension plan, and health insurance.
