We have our upcoming Junior Counselor training scheduled for 14-15 April at Valley View Camp Site in Greenbrier, TN. As many of you know we are doing camp slightly differently this year with just one week long camp. The dates for this year's camp are TENTATIVELY scheduled for 21-28 July 2012, but we are still waiting on the final stages of contracting the location to be complete before we will be able to confirm the exact location and date with everyone for sure. We apologize for the delay in information but we promise to let everyone know as soon as we know. Since we are holding one camp this year instead of three, we will have limited Junior Counselor slots available. We have revised the requirements that Junior Counselors must fulfill in order to be eligible for selection as a JC. Please review the requirements carefully and submit all paperwork that is needed. Please note: Submitting your JC Training application guarantees you a spot at JC training weekend at Valley View Camp, but DOES NOT necessarily mean that you will be selected as a JC for the weeklong camp. We will make our final selections after this training weekend is completed. We will have some of our veteran volunteers with us on this training weekend and we will conduct round table interviews with the youth in order for us to select the strongest and most experienced leaders. I know there are many changes for this upcoming camp season but our hopes are to select the best Junior Counselors in order for them to effectively lead and positively influence our campers. We want this year to be our best camp season yet! If you are interested in attending Junior Counselor training, please submit the attached application, along with ALL additional documents requested with the application, to the email addresses below, fax number 615-313-0526, or mail to the address below: TNNG Youth Development Week Youth Programs Office, J9 3041 Sidco Drive Nashville, TN 37204 Points of Contact Paige Major, 615-707-0582, [log in to unmask] or Tiffany Vaughan 615-418-1052, [log in to unmask] Thanks, Paige P.
