The Master Gardeners of Roane County Holding Workshop on the Grafting of Fruit Trees/Raised Bed Gardening
The Master Gardeners of Roane County will present a full day workshop on Saturday March 10th in Roane County. This workshop will include sessions on Grafting Science and Technique followed by hands on grafting of apples trees with Dr. David Lockwood of the University of Tennessee. All participants will be given the opportunity to graft and take home apple trees of their making. Also included in this year’s grafting workshop will be sessions on Soil Fertility/Sampling, Growing Vegetables from Seed, Square Foot Gardening with a special guest instructor and Raised Bed Types & Construction. Lunch will be served. There will be a nominal fee for workshop participation to cover costs. Space is limited so registration is required.
