The School of Computer and Security Science at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia, seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Library and Information Science.  This position is an on-going (Faculty) position.  The School operates LIS and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

 

The successful candidate will be teaching in areas such as information literacy, information brokerage, information management, teacher librarianship, e-Learning and knowledge management and will have a post graduate qualification in Library or Information Science (preferably PhD or Doctoral qualification or progress towards such a qualification). The successful candidate will be eligible for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and will also hold a recognized teaching qualification.   The successful candidate will be involved in research supervisions at the higher degree level, preferably demonstrate ability in the creation of high quality e-learning materials and will provide area of specialisation coordination for programs aimed at producing graduates that meet ALIA and Australian School Library Association (ASLA) standards for professional excellence in Teacher Librarianship.
