The School of Library, Archival and Information Studies, The iSchool at The University of British Columbia in Vancouver continues its spring Colloquium Series with a distinguished guest speaker next week. Dietmar Wolfram, Professor and Interim Dean at the School of Information Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will discuss how authors are influenced by the authors and publications that they cite. " Who are the Disciples and Admirers of an Author?" will be presented to faculty, students, alumni and other guests on Monday, March 26 1:30 p.m. In this talk, Professor Wolfram will discuss his study into the patterns of recitation (citing a given author or work multiple times) as an indication of the influence of a cited author. It's an open talk and will be recorded for those who wish to view the presentation at a later date. We're also pleased to share with you a link to a video highlighting a few of the posters, talks, and demos presented at the school's 3rd annual Research Day held earlier in March. Students and faculty from the iSchool@UBC kicked off Research Week at the University of British Columbia with panache.
