More Than One Voice: Authors in the Classroom, a Transformative Education Process
In their book Authors in the Classroom, Ada and Campoy explore the concepts of voice and identity through authentic writing as a means to bridge the gap between the cultures of home and school. This colloquium centers on the role of educators as authors, their leadership responsibility in the educational community of their classes, and the various strategies that they can implement to make authorship an important key in the curriculum. They will also discuss various research projects in the area of children's literature and literacy.
