The inaugural issue of The University of Southern Mississippi School of
Library and Information Science’s (SLIS) online journal, *SLIS Connecting*,
is available at: http://aquila.usm.edu/slisconnecting/.

The purpose of the journal is to share news, information and research with
SLIS students, faculty, librarians, archivists and other information
professionals through selected faculty publications, invited student
publications, and the following regular columns:

    * Student Associations, Upcoming Events

    * From the GAs, Congratulations, Publication and Presentations
