Circle of Learning: Indigenous Matters in IFLA

The San Jose State University School of Library and Information Science Circle of Learning program invites you to attend a live online seminar featuring guest speaker Dr. Loriene Roy. Join us on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, to learn about Indigenous Matters in the International Federal of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). 

Dr. Roy, past president of the American Indian Library Association and the American Library Association, will present about the IFLA Special Interest Group (SIG) on Indigenous Matters. Dr. Roy is the convener of the group, and she will address the history of the SIG, its activities, and how you can get involved. She will also talk about the upcoming 2012 IFLA Presidential Programme Spring Meeting, "Indigenous Knowledge: Local Priorities, Global Contexts," to be held in April in Vancouver, BC.
