The New Faculty SIG is delighted to offer the following panel of special interest to doctoral candidates, recent graduates, and those in their first teaching positions, to be held on Wednesday afternoon at the ALISE conference.
Title: “How to prepare your courses during your first faculty position”
The panel will feature the three most recent winners of the ALISE Award for Teaching Excellence. Panelists will offer suggestions for best practices when preparing new courses on the fly or updating inherited courses. The panel will be highly interactive, with the moderator posing questions, panelists sharing the lessons learned and subsequent best practices, and attendees encouraged to ask questions and engage in discussion with the panelists.
