Dear Club Geography,

Some years back the UT Map Library downsized their map collection, and Henri Grissino-Mayer and I ended up with a lot of topographic maps, mainly of the eastern U.S.  With the help of Matt Boehm, I've downsized the collection that I have room and want to keep for research.  We have a lot of maps to give away!  There are maps of Ohio, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and a few other states.  They are not in order, and no set is complete.  All of these maps were duplicates from the UT library -- I am not discarding the only copies that exist of these maps.

If you would like to have some maps for any reason, please let me know.  I am happy to give you a few maps, but would be happier still to give you a good size stack of maps, say an inch or two high if you can use that many maps.  Here are some possible uses for the topographic maps, to get you thinking:  1) practice map interpretation; 2) hang on the wall in my home or apartment -- or completely cover a wall, using the maps like wallpaper; 3) use for gift wrap; 4) use the backs for drawing, or give to my friends for their kids to use the back for drawing; 5) make book covers or other craft projects, with my scout group/church/friends or ??

I am sure you can think of others.  Let me know if you want some maps.

Sincerely,

Sally Horn
