King College, a private, comprehensive college founded in the Presbyterian tradition, is inviting applications for an Outreach Services Librarian, a full-time faculty position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor, based at the King College Knoxville Campus.  Duties include coordinating and promoting library services to King College students, faculty, and staff at the Knoxville campus and extended campus sites; providing in-person and online library instruction to students and faculty in Knoxville and off-campus sites; serving as a collection development liaison to assigned academic departments; and managing the Knoxville Campus Library.  Position also has Site Director responsibilities for the Knoxville Campus.  Some travel may be required.

 

Qualifications: ALA-accredited master's degree in library and/or information science is required and three years of professional experience. The successful candidate will have knowledge of a wide range of print and electronic information resources; demonstrated teaching experience; experience with course management systems; web page development, and other instructional technology software; ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team-based environment as well as juggle multiple priorities in a busy, time-sensitive environment.    Salary commensurate with education and experience.
