Ms. Raphael will be the Commencement Speaker at the December ceremonies. Now retired, she has served as director of two major public library systems - those of the District of Columbia and Multnomah County (Portland OR). She continues a tradition of nationally prominent speakers at the SIRLS Commencement ceremonies. The School was proud to host David S. Ferriero, the Archivist of the United States, last May.
