The School of Information Resources & Library Science at the University of
Arizona is pleased to welcome Molly Raphael, the President of the American
Library Association. Ms. Raphael will be the Commencement Speaker at the
December ceremonies. Now retired, she has served as director of two major
public library systems - those of the District of Columbia and Multnomah County
(Portland OR). She continues a tradition of nationally prominent speakers at
the SIRLS Commencement ceremonies. The School was proud to host David S.
Ferriero, the Archivist of the United States, last May. SIRLS will graduate
forty students with Master's degrees in Information Resources and Library
Science on 16 December.
