Topic: Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21): A
Discussion of Freight Elements of the Proposed Transportation
Reauthorization Bill

Description: Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21)
proposes reauthorization of the nation's transportation programs for two
years. MAP-21 includes a number of freight elements that address the
need to improve goods movement. This session will highlight the sections
of MAP-21 which have direct or indirect consequences for freight
followed by a discussion of potential impacts to goods movement from
this legislation and possible approaches to implementation.
