This is a full-time twelve-month, tenure track faculty appointment. Duties
include evening and weekend hours on a rotating schedule, salary
competitive.

Posting Summary:
The Reference and Instruction Librarian will provide innovative instruction
across the curriculum and in a growing distance learning environment. This
individual will collaborate with the Library Director and the Information
Literacy librarian in advancing the on-going development of the information
literacy initiative. Reference duties include the management of the
reference department including assessment activities that measure and
evaluate reference work, resources, and services. This is a twelve-month,
tenure track faculty appointment.

All members of the library faculty are expected to: teach in the library's
information literacy program, engage with departmental faculty in the
development of the library's collections and services, provide reference
assistance to library patrons in person and online, participate in
collection development, develop online resources and resource guides with
the Springshare content management systems, and participate in the
library's planning and assessment process. This qualified candidate will
work collaboratively with colleagues inside the library and across campus
to assess and evaluate information literacy initiatives and to integrate
traditional and digital scholarly resources into programs and initiatives
on campus and in online courses.

Minimum Education/Experience:
A Master's degree from an ALA-accredited Library/Information Science
program is required. Prefer educational background to include experience
and/or academic degree in Education related field. Experience with newer
emerging technologies. Interest in bringing multi-modal creativity into
pedagogy and course assignments/instruction.
