Scope & rationale:

Social justice in library and information science involves achieving action-oriented socially relevant outcomes via information-related work that furthers community-wide progressive changes partnering with, and, on behalf of people on society’s margins. This session will present speakers who engage in research and teaching while keeping their focus on social impact and community involvement in LIS practice, education, service design, and program implementation.
