AMPO and FHWA are developing a series of Capacity Building webinars on Climate Change and Energy Planning. This effort will increase MPO awareness of climate change challenges, identify key issues and questions from an MPO perspective, provide an MPO peer-to-peer forum for information exchange, and develop consensus on MPO strategies to respond to the challenges. The first webinar in the series, The Context for Climate Change Planning, takes place on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, from 2:00 - 3:30 pm ET. This webinar will address questions such as: What is the status of climate change science and government policies? How does surface transportation fit into the overall climate change picture?
