A busy week at the Baker Center--- Join us for any or all of these free, public events! NOVEMBER 16 @ 7 p.m. - The East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists and the Baker Center are sponsoring this program on "Ethics & Video News Releases" on Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the Toyota Auditorium. Video News Releases (VNRs) have become more and more numerous and more sophisticated. A panel of news directors and public relations professionals will explore this new phenomena and discuss any possible ramifications. ___________________________________________________ NOVEMBER 17 @ 7 pm in the Toyota Auditorium- The UT Honors Enrichment program will present a discussion by students and faculty on "Healthcare Reform" and the current issues surrounding healthcare policy and how these policies could affect our economy and government as a whole. _____________________________________________________ NOVEMBER 18 @ 7 pm in Toyota Auditorium - "North Korea and Iran: Challenging the Nuclear Order" The Global Security Program at the Howard H. Baker Jr Center for Public Policy will host Dr. Siegfried Hecker. Dr. Hecker is a former director of Los Alamos Lab and he will speak on the challenges that Iran and North Korea pose to the mission of preventing the spread of nuclear weapons.
