The Ana G. Méndez University System seeks a dynamic, outgoing, and creative Learning Resources Center Director to provide the strategic vision and leadership to successfully implement both traditional and innovative services and technologies in an adult student’s environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develop policies and strategic planning, fiscal management and supervision of personnel, facilities and equipment in compliance with academic policies. Provides support in all areas of the administration of the learning center and establishes a strong relationship with faculty and students to facilitate an environment of teaching and learning. Develops, maintains and updates Learning Resources Center collection inventories. Trains and assists students and faculty members in using electronic resources.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Masters degree in Library Science or related areas.
At least three (3) years experience in an academic library environment of which two should include administrative experience.
Experience in developing collections and managing a technologically integrated facility.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).

Strong presentation and organization skills.
Knowledge and experience in relevant computer applications.
Detail oriented.
Knowledge and experience of adult education and services for the adult learner.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures.
