Reference Librarian (tenure-track) Posted Oct 28
Duties & Responsibilities:
Full time, tenure track, Reference Librarian will provide reference services to the University community, manage the reference desk schedule and the print and online reference collections, participate in the instruction program, and participate in collection development and department liaison duties.

1.Work with faculty, staff, and students to enhance reference services offered in the library.
2.Provide leadership in planning, promoting, and coordinating innovative use of technology and other initiatives in support of reference services.
3.Create and maintain reference desk schedule.
4.Maintain and analyze reference statistics; write reference section of Library annual report.
5.Coordinate purchase and maintenance of print and online reference collections.
6.Manage Library's LibGuide account; train staff on LibGuides; maintain statistics.
7.Manage and maintain the library's citation manager software.
8.Participate in reference desk rotation, including one night and rotating weekends. Answer both ready reference and in-depth reference questions by IM, email, phone and in-person.
9.Conduct library instruction sessions for general library skills and in the area of any subject specialties.
10.Act as library liaison to selected academic departments for both graduate and undergraduate programs.
11.Provide collection development duties ? evaluation, resource selection, weeding, etc. - in selected subject areas.
12.Perform other related duties as assigned.
13.Participation as a professional in public service, contributions to the improvements and development of the academic programs or academic services as those programs or services relate to the library
14.Participation in and contributions to the professional growth and development of the College Community.
15.Attend College functions such as annual faculty meetings, commencement, and convocations; and participate and carry out assignments for committees and departmental meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:
1.A Masters of Library Science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited program.
2.Minimum of 1-3 years providing reference in an academic environment.
3.Thorough knowledge of print and electronic reference sources.
4.Information literacy and instruction experience.
5.Demonstrated understanding of the information needs of undergraduates, graduates, and faculty.
6.Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
7.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with a diverse population.
8.Subject knowledge of biological, physical, or applied sciences is preferred, but not required.
9. Ability to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Full time, 12 month benefited position. Monday through Friday, standard shift 8:30am - 5:00pm, some nights and weekends may be required.

Salary commensurate with qualifications, experience and the MSCA Bargaining Agreement. Position is contingent upon funding for academic year 2012/2013.

Position Overview
We are looking for a Client Account Specialist to provide customer support to our Reprint customers. Reprints/e-Prints is a growth area for our company, and this job has a direct impact on the success of that growth strategy. Success in this position requires careful attention to detail and meticulous follow-up, as well as in-person client visits and prompt communication with customers and publishers. This position will be based out of our Wilton, CT office and will report to our Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for quoting, processing and fulfillment of client reprints and e-Prints order requests
• Work closely with publishers to establish a working partnership for obtaining quotes for clients
• Master Infotrieve’s BRAVO (Bulk Reprint Articles Via Online) aggregation software tool
• Responsible for providing timely status of order requests to clients
• Provide support to Sales Team in all areas involving BRAVO and reprints / e-Prints service offerings
• Complete weekly productivity reports for management on all activity
• Provide client and order data for reporting purposes as requested by management
• Assist in new product release testing and quality assurance

Requirements

Located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., the Library is the home of the U.S. Copyright Office, the Congressional Research Service (CRS), the Law Library of Congress and the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

The Copyright Acquisitions Division's mission is to augment and enhance the Library's collections, and enable its Reading Rooms to provide timely, effective public service by acquiring works through the skillful enforcement of the mandatory deposit requirement of the Copyright Act of 1976. The Division monitors U.S. publishing activities and seeks to encourage voluntary, regular deposit and registration by planning and implementing outreach efforts; establishing and maintaining effective relationships; administering informal arrangements and negotiated, formal agreements with individual publishers or trade associations. Under the authority delegated by the Register of Copyrights, the Division also issues demands for deposit and monitors subsequent compliance. Non-complying claimants, through the Office of the General Counsel, Copyright Office, may be referred to the Department of Justice for prosecution.
This position serves as the Division Chief, Copyright Acquisitions Division, and reports to the Register of Copyrights. The Division Chief serves as the Library's primary authority in the acquisition of copyright material for the Library's collections, and is the principal contact with the publishing industry and the public in matters relating to the mandatory deposit requirements of the Copyright Act of 1976 (Section 407). Has final responsibility for planning and directing the operations of the Copyright Acquisitions Division. While performing daily activities, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring proper handling and security of all Library and Copyright Office materials.
