The successful applicant will manage the daily operations of Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad), PASCAL Delivers (Inn-Reach), government documents and serials, some acquisitions and limited technical services using Millennium (Innovative Interfaces) software, and other duties as assigned. Broad participation in reference service, library instruction, circulation assistance, collection development, student personnel supervision, and support of electronic resources is also required. This position reports to the Head Librarian and will be part of a three-person professional team that is technologically current and collaboratively develops services, policies, and procedures based on library best practices and emerging technologies. Minimum qualifications include a Masters of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited graduate program, demonstrated knowledge of electronic resources and information literacy, evidence of well-developed interpersonal, customer-service, teaching, research, and problem-solving skills. Key attributes include a commitment to great public service and outreach, and flexibility in work hours. Applicants must be available to work up to two evenings a week and some weekends, with an obligation to professional development, campus and community service. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position.
