Dear folks,
It is always a good idea to be safe when entering a cave. Here is a list of additional stuff you should probably take for safety.
1) make sure to take 2 flashlights incase one breaks or burns out.
2) trashbags for dirty clothes- crucial for keeping your car clean afterward
3) water inside the cave-- you might get thirsty or need to wash a cut
4) a small back pack to pick up trash inside the cave-- cause not everyone cares
5) granola bars for emergency food in a cave, plus they are good
6) rubbing alcohol and tp-- for cleaning up your hands to enjoy your lunch
7) first aid kit-- or just don't get hurt
8) a bicycle or other helmet-- I have used bicycle helmets for many caving trips-- you can duck tape your light to the top- just use long strips of tape
9) roll of duck tape
10) spare batteries for your flashlight

alright have fun.  till then, matt

Sorry for getting this together so late but I figured I should wait for people to know what there plans are over the weekend.  This will be a first come first serve in response to this email. There will be 20 spots available and guest travelers will have priority since we need drivers.  We are leaving at 9 am from Grand Forest apartments corner of 17th and forest (the building on the right facing away from campus).  I will be leading a group of 10 through the cave while the other group hikes or hangs out by the water fall.
You will need clothes to get SUPER muddy
old shoes
headlamp
change of clothes
lunch
