“Leaping Forward in Communication and Information Research”

Luncheon Keynote Speakers

Timothy Sellnow, Professor of Communication and Risk Sciences and Associate Dean of Graduate Programs in the College of Communications and Information Studies, University of Kentucky and

Deanna Sellnow, Gifford Blyton Endowed Professor of Communication and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Communication, University of Kentucky addressing –

“Leaping Forward in Crisis Communication Research: Connecting with Audiences in a

Rapidly Evolving Information Environment.”

Papers are due by December 12, 2011 for peer reviewing. Notification of acceptance

will be made mid-January 2012.

 All research dealing with communication and information issues is welcome. Awards will be given to the best doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate student papers, best collaborative paper (Faculty/Student), and best poster.

 All submissions should be electronic and uploaded to the TRACE website-


http://trace.tennessee.edu/ccisymposium. Select “Submit Proposal” to upload a submission.

 Full papers with a preferred length of 10-15 pages (double-spaced) will be accepted


for consideration in the research paper category.

 Extended abstracts of 2-5 pages will be accepted for consideration in the poster category. In the event that more papers are recommended for acceptance after the peer review than can be presented, some authors will be offered the opportunity to present their research as a poster.
