The Department of Elementary Education invites applications for a full- 
time tenure-track position in teacher-librarianship. The appointment  
will be at the Assistant Professor level with a salary commensurate  
with qualifications and experience. The date of appointment will be  
July 1, 2012.

This position involves teaching in an innovative online program,  
Teacher-Librarianship by Distance Learning. This distance-learning  
program provides Master of Education graduate level courses to  
students from across Canada and around the world. More information

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to research and should  
have a research agenda that will contribute to the advancement of the  
field of teacher-librarianship. Candidates must hold a doctorate with  
specialization in teacher-librarianship at the elementary and/or  
secondary school level. Candidates should have a valid teaching  
certificate and appropriate teaching experience. Duties will include  
instruction in graduate and undergraduate level courses in two or more  
of the following areas: leadership in teacher-librarianship; resources  
for children and young adults; new and emerging technologies;  
collection management; integration of technology into schools,  
libraries and classrooms. Other instructional duties will include  
advising and supervising graduate students.
