The University of Alabama School of Library and Information Studies welcomes two October speakers, Julie Leonard (University of Iowa) and Michael Olsson (University of Technology Sydney), as part of the UA SLIS Research Colloquia Series. Julie Leonard, Lecturer in the University of Iowa’s Center for the Book and School of Art and Art History, will be giving the following two presentations next week, the first of which is available for live online attending from a distance:

Michael Olsson, Senior Lecturer and Graduate Coordinator in Information & Knowledge Management at the University of Technology, Sydney, will be giving the following two presentations the week following, the first of which is available for live online attending from a distance:

The research presentations of both speakers are open to the public in person in SLIS Room 503 in Gorgas Library and will also available live online by way of Wimba. (Please see linked information above for instructions on accessing these research presentations live via Wimba.) The workshops will not be available via Wimba.

We would also like to acknowledge that Professor Leonard’s presentations are funded in part by an IMLS Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program Grant that is facilitating a one-year planning process at SLIS for the development of a dual master's degree in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) and Book Arts (MFA).
