Grant Awards Announcement: Native Hawaiian Library Services Program

Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced today 2 awards totaling $565,700 matched with $166,855 of non-federal funds for Native Hawaiian Library Services Program Grants. IMLS received 2 applications requesting $775,325 in funds.

"Each of these projects provides much needed support in key areas including literacy and library services," said Susan Hildreth, IMLS Director. "From preserving Native Hawaiian heritage through cultural literacy activities to expanding traditional and digital library services, these organizations will help prepare the next generation of librarians and learners."
