TO ALL SCHOOL COUNSELORS AND MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELORS (Tracy Horton, Secretary, Smoky Mountain Counseling Association) The Smokey Mountain Counseling Association (SMCA) is an association whose purpose is to unite in one organization all persons engaged or interested in any phase of counseling and developmental work in East Tennessee. Any person who is engaged in or interested in counseling and development work in the East Tennessee area is eligible to become a member Please join us for our next meeting on Thursday, Sept. 15th, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. We will be meeting upstairs at Barley’s in the Old City, Knoxville. The meeting will be organized as follows: 5:30 – 6:30 dinner and business: 6:30 – 7:30 program. We are excited to have Sarina Lyall, LMSW to present our first program. She works with the U.T. Veterinary Medical Center in Veterinary Social Work and will talk to us about resources for animal therapy and emotional responses to pet loss. Please try to attend this very enlightening program.
