UT's Summer Teaching Institute Ends
UT's Summer Teaching Institute 2011 comes to a successful end as faculty showcased their plans for upcoming courses. The Institute was sponsored by the OIT Instructional Services and the TENN TLC and funded by the Provost office. It offered a unique opportunity
for tenured and tenure-track faculty, adjunct faculty, lecturers, and graduate teaching assistants to receive authentic, hands-on learning experience and guidance in designing and developing exemplary courses in one of three delivery formats: face-to-face,
blended or hybrid, and online.
Twenty-eight participants representing 17 disciplines were introduced to best teaching practices, innovative use of technology, and quality standards
for course development through multiple learning sessions, one-on-one coaching sessions, peer interaction and faculty collaboration. For more information, visit
