Topic: Engaging the Private Sector

Description: Throughout the transportation planning process, planners
seek input from the private sector to help make informed decisions that
benefit freight and other users. Developing and sustaining
relationships, either formally or informally, with key private sector
stakeholders are critical to effective freight planning. Hear from State
DOTs and MPOs on techniques/approaches they use to engage the private
sector.

do so. These monthly seminars, sponsored by the Federal Highway
Administration, are held via web conference, which means that you view
the PowerPoint presentations over the Internet while listening to the
presenters over your computer or the telephone. There is no cost
involved and you do not have to leave your desk to participate. More

Talking Freight seminars are eligible for 1.5 AICP Certification
