The Conflict Records Research Center (CRRC) is conducting a search for someone with an interest in the Middle East/Central Asia and/or security studies who can serve as research assistants for our new center. The CRRC was established to fulfill the Secretary of Defense’s intent to enable research into captured records from Iraq and Afghanistan with “complete openness and rigid adherence to academic freedom and integrity.” The CRRC’s mission is to facilitate the use of captured records (documents, audio and video) that have national security impact to support research, both within and outside the government. Please note our archive is a collection of digital records and not a physical archive. Please visit our website to learn more about the CRRC.

If you could, please forward this announcement to any other groups and organizations who may wish to disseminate it to their professional members.

Thank you!
