NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - An anonymous donor has given $500,000 to a military charity to provide college scholarships for families of killed or wounded soldiers from Tennessee and Kentucky. Oklahoma-based Folds of Honor Foundation announced Tuesday that the funds were donated specifically for military families from the two states. Since 2007, the charity has provided more than 1,600 scholarships for spouses or children of soldiers who have been killed or wounded. Charity founder Dan Rooney said in a news release that the gift will allow them to offer up to 100 scholarships to families in Tennessee and Kentucky. The scholarships can be used to subsidize tuition, textbooks, fees and housing. Applications are available online at www.foldsofhonor.org<http://www.foldsofhonor.org/>.
