Important Information for Students

VolCard Offers Students Numerous Accounts/Benefits

Your student's VolCard (or student ID card) is used for access to numerous locations across campus including his or her residence hall, recreational facilities, student athletics tickets, meals at Campus Dining facilities, and much more.

The VolCard contains all your student's meal plan and Dining Dollars information, and can also act as an on-campus debit card through the VolCard account (also known as All-Star). The VolCard account can be used in residence halls, in Campus Dining facilities, and for purchases from selected vending machines across campus. The VolCard account can also be used to purchase parking permits, utilize on-campus printing services, purchase student football tickets, and to make purchases at the UT Bookstore. The balance of the All-Star account will carry over from term to term until your student graduates or is no longer enrolled at the University. Click here for information on your student's VolCard.

Student Meal Plans

Students can sign up for a 2011-2012 meal plan online. Students living in North Carrick, South Carrick, Humes, Reese, Gibbs and Morrill Halls are required to select a Residential meal plan. Students in other halls such as Massey, Hess, and Clement are not required to purchase a meal plan, but may choose to do so. Students living in the Apartments Residence Hall, as well as Laurel and Volunteer Halls may select from Apartment or Residential plans, and commuter students may choose from any plan. Students have up to 29 days after the first day of class to change a meal plan option and students may only change their meal plan twice per semester. To sign up for or change a meal plan, click here. To view campus restaurants and dining hall hours, click here.
