We are using Dell Latitude E6410 ATG laptops with built-in bluetooth capability. I purchased what had been a proven product to us, a Honeywell Metrologic BT9535 barcode scanner, for use in Outreach Services Offline Circulation in the field. We are a Polaris library.
I have worked numerous hours to try to keep this thing connected to the laptop, and it keeps losing BT connectivity, whether in the office or in the field. I sent it back to Honeywell for ‘repair’ and I think they just reprogrammed it. No matter, it still doesn’t stay connected so I am trying to get a refund.
Anyway, do any of you have a super-recommendation for a bluetooth barcode scanner? Needs to be impact-resistant of course, and preferably less than $400.
