The University of Kentucky has received a $20 million Clinical and Translational Science Award from the National Institutes of Health. This is a campus-wide initiative, including faculty members from the School of Library and Information Science, devoted to linking research and medical practice so that laboratory advances become available to patients as treatment options more quickly. CTSAs support the innovation and partnerships necessary to break down traditional silos between scientists, clinicians, and patients in order to advance the provision of health care and promote health and well-being.
