Hello!

Catholic University of America’s School of Library and Information Science invites you to an information session on June 29, 6:30 – 7:30pm, for its Master of Science in Information Technology program with a concentration in Health Information Technology (MSIT-HIT). Join us to learn more about the program, the cohort for the fall semester, and the scholarships for this cohort. The deadline for application is August 6. For more information visit our website at http://hit.cua.edu.

Health information technology has been cited as the number one “hottest career” . An aging population and the need for more efficient and less costly systems for managing care has created numerous career opportunities for those specialized in the technology used to manage medical records and data.

The MSIT-HIT program is designed to prepare students for leadership this growing field. Graduates of the program will lead health information technology initiatives in healthcare settings such as:

·         Hospitals, community health centers, etc.

·         Federal health care settings

·         Commercial health care companies

·         Private  practices and clinics

·         Allied health organizations

·         Insurance industry

·         Pharmaceutical industry

The program emphasizes a balance between practical and theoretical learning and draws on the expertise of professionals employed in the Washington DC healthcare field. With evening face to face classes and online classes the HIT program accommodates the needs of students who must balance study with the demands of their work and families.

The Information Session will be held at in room 321 of Catholic University’s Pryzbyla Student Center. If you would like to attend or have any questions please contact Allie Dryden at [log in to unmask].
