We all have weeds in our yard. Some of those weeds (also known as plants out of place) may turn out to be useful after all. Come hear how many can be used for food and to spice up your table. Some may even have been used historically as pioneer medicine. The University of Tennessee Arboretum Society will hold a lecture entitled “Wild Edibles and Foraging” at 7p.m., Roane State Community College City Room in Oak Ridge on Monday May 16. This informative lecture will be given by Jeff Ross, Garden Manager at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee. As a student of history, culinary arts and horticulture, it's sure to be very informative. Don't miss out! The University of Tennessee Arboretum Society is a 46 year-old, nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the objectives and programs of the University of Tennessee’s 250-acre Arboretum in Oak Ridge.
