Reserve Textbooks Now for Fall Semester

The UT Bookstore offers a special program called Textbook Reservation, which has books pulled, boxed and ready for students when school begins. This is a free service available to all students, not just freshmen, and applies to fall and spring semester classes. Students who reserve their textbooks have first priority on used books. Used books are priced at 25% less than new books. Click here for more information on textbook reservations.

DARS Report

The end of a semester is a great time to run a DARS report. DARS, short for Degree Audit Reporting System, is an automated system that compares your student's completed coursework with the requirements for his/her degree(s) and produces a report (sometimes called an audit) detailing their progress towards that degree. The report also lists the classes that need to be taken, making it a great planning tool for future semesters. A DARS report can also evaluate different scenarios (degree options like minors, second degrees, changing a major) that students may want to consider. DARS is managed through the Office of the University Registrar. For more information, click here.
