iSchool Student Wins 2nd Annual Kate McClelland and Kathy Krasniewicz Memorial Scholarship

Congratulations to Master of Science in Library and Information Science student Melinda Roberts, who has been awarded the 2nd annual Kate McClelland and Kathy Krasniewicz Memorial Scholarship, coordinated by Random House Publishers.

Roberts previously served as a library assistant at Mount Laurel Library, and continues to work with the library as a volunteer. Library staff recommended Roberts for the award due to her devotion to the library community and shows promise in the field.

The award provides funds for a new librarian or library student who has never attended an American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference. It includes travel to and from the conference, hotel, conference registration, and a ticket to the Newbery Caldecott banquet.

This year's ALA Annual Conference will be hosted in New Orleans, June 23 - 28. The iSchool at Drexel will be exhibiting at this year's conference, so be sure to visit us at Booth 1526!
