Subject: POSITION AVAILABLE] : University of Alberta Libraries - Discovery Systems Librarian (Edmonton, Alberta) -- Extended Posting

Hey, all,

[removing my Autocat co-listowner's hat for a moment and replacing it with hat of potential supervisor]...

This is a great opportunity for an Autocat-er who knows her or his metadata -- both "traditional" and "emerging" -- and who wants to use that knowledge in new and creative ways to facilitate discovery. It's a brand new job and it pays rather well... and with the Loonie currently pegging at just shy of US$1.04, it's an even better bet.
Edmonton, while sometimes a bit chilly, is a welcoming place and we're very friendly people (really! we don't bite! :)). Oh, and it's probably the most dog-friendly place in North America... trust me. Your canine best pal will be eternally thankful for your decision to come to
a city with over *40* off-leash parks (http://www.edmonton.ca/attractions_recreation/parks_rivervalley/offleash-park-sites.aspx).
I hope you'll give this one some serious consideration.
And now, back to my normal Autocat-y duties...
cheers,
- mt
