An educational webinar geared more to the consumer than to the farmer or nursery producer concerning fire ants is planned for 10am, April 21 that can be easily viewed from your computer.

I will be giving a webinar on April 21, 2011 at 10am cst on how to recognize fire ants on the national eXtension website. Three other speakers from Clemson, Texas A&M, and Auburn will also be speaking on biology and behavior, biological control, and management. There will be an open session where participants can send questions about fire ants. Although the topic I was given to speak on (i.e., how to recognize fire ants) may not be of high interest to nursery growers, they may be interested in the management parts and the opportunity to ask questions.
