Come Meet the Former ALA President

Recent census results show that the face of the nation is changing. You can help assure that the future of librarian services match this new profile by supporting the American Library Association’s Spectrum scholarships for library students from underrepresented ethnic groups.  Here’s how…

Join us for a Caribbean Fiesta evening filled with music, dancing, food and fun that will raise funds for the Spectrum Scholarships.   Special guest, Dr. Camila Alire, former president of ALA will also deliver a talk about how to embrace the new face of the nation-- “Change Happens! And Emotionally Intelligent Leadership Works.”  The evening also features a silent auction including signed UT sports memorabilia including a basketball from Coach Pat Summit.

The University of Tennessee, School Information Sciences invites you to join us on Wednesday, April 13, from 6-8 pm, in the Communications Building, Scripps Convergence Lab, Room 402.
