Grant Awards Announcement:  
Connecting to Collections Statewide Implementation Grants

Washington, DC-The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)
announced today 6 awards totaling $1,402,322 matched with $92,270 of
non-federal funds for Connecting to Collections Statewide Implementation
Grants.  IMLS received 12 applications requesting $2,574,747 in funds.

"IMLS has long supported projects that seek to address the conservation
and preservation needs documented by the Heritage Health Index
<http://www.imls.gov/collections/about/hhi.htm>  (HHI)," said Susan
Hildreth, IMLS Director. "Statewide Implementation Grants are an
important component of the Connecting to Collections initiative; which
provides an opportunity for states and territories to maintain and
improve safe conditions for their collections."
