GTA@OIT Grant Recipients Announced
Example site OIT's Spring 2011 GTA@OIT Grant recipients are excited for the opportunity to learn new strategies for enhancing their courses and engaging their students via [log in to unmask] Each semester OIT invites Graduate Teaching Assistants/Associates with full responsibility for teaching a course to apply for the GTA@OIT Grant. OIT's Instructional Development Team assists grant recipients in the redesign and development of the GTA’s course or course component for online delivery. The assistance includes one-on-one instructional design consulting, Technology-Enhanced Classroom training, and consulting on the use of Online@UT features including communication, assessment, and evaluation. Recipients are also awarded $500 to be used for travel and/or professional development purposes.

This semester's recipients are:

Proposal Title: "Music Dictation: A Blackboard Course for Student Practice."

Trent Hoy, Graduate Teaching Associate, Dept. of Modern Foreign Languages and Literature: College of Arts and Sciences
Proposal Title: "Fostering International Communication and Understanding in Lower-Division Foreign Language Course Through Mobile- and Social Media-Based Games."
